Once considered a luxury, home theater systems are now common in many homes across America. With the proper setup family members can enjoy cinema quality sound and picture in the comfort of their own home- a great idea for those with little ones. For home theater system to provide the right experience it’s all about picture and sound.

After the size of the room is determined and a budget is set, then the television can be purchased. While many feel bigger is better, sometimes it’s worth it to go just a little smaller if it means a better picture. Projection screens look great because they are so big, but the picture quality will not be near as clear and vivid as a high definition plasma or LCD set.

Sound is also crucial to the home theater setup. Sound equipment can quickly become complicated and if the right wattage and the right receiver aren’t used equipment could become damaged or the home owner may not get the most out of their system. Professional installation is a good idea for those who are unfamiliar with the workings of a home theater system.
